Metro State/UCD Atheists Raise $250 for S.H.A.R.E.
As promised to donors during our Haitian Relief Effort fundraiser on January 20, 2010, below is posted the receipt for the donation to S.H.A.R.E. We raised a total of $250, all of which was donated to S.H.A.R.E.

Empathy. One of many moral traits, brought to you by: Evolution “Change can be a good thing” and by Natural Selection “The fittest doesn’t always mean strongest”.
Empathy is brought to us by evolution? Really I missed that part where this has been scientifically proven, seems a bit like almighty faith in Darwinism to me. Yet empathy is tricky for evolution because it goes against the very concept of it. Evolution has no such thing as care for the disabled, handicap, or disadvantage. I have yet to observe in nature the lion showing empathy for the wounded gazelle. Sounds like your borrowing from a theistic worldview to subsidize something that yours just cannot provide.

You do not understand evolutionary theory. Claiming that social cooperation has no evolutionary advantage demonstrates that you have not studied evolution in any depth whatsoever. Such a claim is one of the most profoundly idiotic claims that any anti-evolutionist can make, because it shows that you don’t even understand the position you’re disagreeing with.
